By way of a change this months meeting was held at the clubs flying field. After dealing with al the clubs business we were treated to a talk about microlight aircraft and given a demonstration on how to assembly on ready to fly. There was lots of interest from our members and plenty of questions about all things related to microlights. Pictures will appear in the gallery in a few days.
Our next club meeting takes place on the 13th June at 8pm.

This months meeting was a little quieter than usual, No jet engines roaring in the background and sadly no microlight on display. Due to ill health we couldn't get this display organised for this meeting but it will be here for the May meeting.
We are hoping to organise a fly for fun day to take place sometime over the summer months. Watch this space.
Unfortunately the weather has be a little on the damp side so there has been little opportunity to do any maintenance work on the flying strip. Now Easter is bearing down on us hopefully we will get the chance to roll and mow the grass.
Anybody available to help with these essential work parties please get in touch with any committee member.

This evenings monthly club meeting was followed by a talk on model jet engines given by Dave Swarbrick. Dave is a long time member of Blackpool & Fylde model club & is now the UK distributor for the "Jet Joe" range of engines (see our links page). Dave brought a beautiful, brand new model Lightning with him, picture here soon, and several engines and various components. A really great talk with plenty of questions from club members. Even after Dave wrapped up his presentation there was plenty of talking going on.
A very entertaining & informative evening, many thanks Dave.

At our 2005 AGM a new chairman and committee were elected to administer the club for the following year. This group of members provides a good mix of modelling and organisational skills which we feel will help move the club forward and increase our appeal to prospective members.
